Wrong Order Time

Hi all,

wonder if anyone else noticed this, but I'm having around 1 hour delay from the time when customer places the order to when it gets downloaded to actinic.

I noticed this when doing our routine chech for orders just after the cut-off time which is 2pm.

I did the test order just now @ 11:42, and when I downloaded it says 10:42

Any ideas?

I did check the server time which is correct.

Thanks for that, my server time as I said before is showing correctly in actinic's troubleshooting.

If its GMT & BST 1 hour difference then it should be fine when we turn the clocks backwards on 31st October... which means the host can't be bothered to update the daylight saving time on their server and we gonna have to live with it lol

It's not always that simple. Changing to and from BST causes problems with logs and cronjobs etc. By changing the clocks, when going back an hour the same time is seen twice, when going forward an hour is missed. That means scheduled tasks may be executed twice or not all and logs may contain duplicated timed entries or a gap.

It's far simpler and logical to just display the time as BST or not but then use GMT only.

If it was up to me they can leave the clocks alone as they are now and forget daylight saving. I wish they would at least give it a trial couple of years.

I'd even go a step further and suggest we use internet time based on one location only across the world with no time lines at all. Just get up and go to work and sleep at different times around the globe.

While were on with it lets also split the day into 1000 units instead of hours and minutes.

Oops sorry off-topic but it's a pet subject of mine.
