Multiple Sites / Installs

We currently have a retail website using Actinic Catalog v9

we're looking at creating a new trade only version of the site (would be a completly separate site), if we went and purchased another copy of actinic catalog (v10) would i be able to install and use both versions of catalog on the same computer? ...with the old site staying on v9 and the new one on v10

The other option is to upgrade cataog to v10 Business and use different customer groups to control who sees what products/pricing, but i'm not sure how flexible this is.

v9 and v10 can co-exist on he same PC, but you would then need to manage two sites. In one site you can have different pricing for logged in users, that together with customer groups may suffice for your B2B customers.

yes, this was my thought

though in addition to different product pricing i'm going to need to hide large sections of the product/section tree from the retail group

are there any online docs to detail the hiding of products? i've read the in-program help and the KB but i need more detail.
