    Time stamped on order

    Hi all

The time that is recorded on our orders is an hour before the actual time of the order. This causes us problems with our next day guaranteed cut off. We say 1pm but orders that are placed at 1.59 pm would show as 12.59 on our system and on the customers email receipt. Does anyone know why and is there anyway I can adjust it?? It is causing loads of CS issues!
    Many thanks

The problem here is that servers run to a constant time (based on GMT) whereas people like to make 'time' suit them hence British Summer Time which is an hour ahead.

I think there are instructions somewhere on the forum for a script mod to correct for BST, but I can't really remember the details.

The order emails do say 'GMT' on them so customer's should accept what you tell them but I agree it definitely could be handled better. Perhaps you could raise a wishlist item for Actinic to have an 'adjust time for Summer Time' tickbox that can be selected when needed.

    Mike

    Edit:

OK. It took me a little while to find the thread I was looking for:

    http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=29645

It seems the description for how to change it is in the AUG. Apparently it's a already on the wish list (again) but clearly not a high priority. Must be one of these niggles Actinic choose not to implement.

I'd probably add a post to this thread http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=48395 about the 'irritant' stuff that's on the wishlist but doesn't get implemented.

This has been requested more than once before so I guess it just needs Actinic to review it based on how many people vote for it.
