    Customer phone No

    On customer phone number (invoice phone) in checkout page one

    We would like to suggest "insert mobile phone number for delivery time update" or wording to that effect, as our delivery company DPD sends a text message to the customer in the morning giving a one hour window for delivery, obviously this does not work if normal home phones are entered

    Any Idea's greatly received

    Go into design | text and switch on 'mobile number' option also, you then get the home and mobile numbers asked for. You could have the initial value of the box as the message or add your own custom label for it, again in design|text or within the layout itself.

      Thanks Lee, tried that but does not show as a entry on checkout 1, maybe because I have repeat email address using up the space or does it show elsewhere

        Close down actinic and then reopen, it will usually show then, it has its own space, doesn't matter what else you have selected.

            Hmmm, maybe it has been removed from your layouts by mistake, maybe it is not available in v9 - only in v10 or maybe it shows on a different page, can't say for sure sorry.

            I've just enabled it on a v10 site and it showed instantly, directly underneath the normal phone number field.

            You might need to check the layout to see if it is in there.

              It is there in V9 on checkout page 1, if you click on the phone number field, then click the up arrow to scroll up a level, you should see:

              Code:
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Invoice Country" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt009Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Invoice Phone" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt010Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable value="Invoice Mobile" name="CheckoutPrompt" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoiceMobileVisible%22%20%2f%3e" />
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Invoice Fax" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt011Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Invoice Email" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt012Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Moving In One Month" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt013Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Invoice User Defined" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt014Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Keep Details Private" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt015Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Ship To Separate Address" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt016Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
                 <actinic:variable name="CheckoutPrompt" value="Remember Me" if="%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22InvoicePrompt017Visible%22%20%2f%3e"/>
              Paste the above code in temporarily and then compare, i suspect it's missing the mobile selector.

                  You can send text messages to BT landlines - the phone rings then a computer voice tries to read the txt message to you. I only found out after a few too many and sent the txt to the wrong number.
