Making a field mandatory

Hi Guys,

On our checkout page we have a section that asks where people found us, ie - Google, advert, etc.

How do we make this a mandatory field that has to be filled in before they can proceed?

Controlled in design | text (required checkbox), although not a great idea IMO, annoying to have to fill it out, add a drop down list and make it optional, then if anyone uses it, you know you have an honest and desired answer.

How do I create a drop down menu? We've got alot of advertising out so we just want to keep track

Hi guys, the box in Design | Text is checked to make the 'how did you find us' mandatory, however as it's a drop down menu it doesn't appear to work and make a customer select an option.

Does it have to be a blank field text for it to work?
