    Price Break on whole page

    Morning All

I've got a sinking feeling that I'm going to answer my own question, but thought I'd check with the gurus first Is it possible to do a price break across a whole page without using product groups/discounts?

I've got price breaks working on individual products which is quick and easy, but on certain products we'd like to offer the same price break across all products on the page (so customers can mix and match but still get the break even if they only buy 1 of a product - so long as they hit the minimum of say 3 products altogether). Most of the info about product groups/discounts seems to point towards BOGOFs, buy 2 get 1 free etc but we'd just like to extend the price break to a page, rather than just individual products.

Does that make sense? Website is about to undergo a major overhaul so I'm hoping I may have just missed something - I've trawled the threads and the answer seems to point towards product groups/discounts but we've got "the problem" that many others have reported with the quantity thing not working. As the site is about to be handed over, I'm not sure if it's worth trying to fix this right now.

    Any thoughts gratefully received.

    Cheers

    Helen

Discounts are group based not section based. So yes - I think you have confirmed your thoughts.

Thanks Duncan, thought as much but thanks for replying.

But how often does this happen - I went to check on setting up a product group/discount and the quantity thing is working again - bizarre. So I have kinda managed to set up what I want, but of course it's not working as expected .

If you buy 1 or 2 different products from the page, price correct at £10.99 each. Buy 3, price discounted correctly at £9.99 each. However, buy 4 or 5 and the extra products are charged at full price? Once a customer hits 3, they should get the discounted price on each item until they hit 6, then get an even better price. But at 6, it sees this as 2 x lots of 3 so is taking off £6 instead of £18 - it doesn't seem to see this break at all. It is only seeing 3!

I've obviously not ticked a box or missed the obvious, so would anybody mind taking a look if they've got a few minutes:

Thanks for looking - Regards - Helen
