Scrolling Banner Solution

My site currently has a scrolling banner showing a promo message. This is a simple animated giff. Is there a better alternative which can be updated in Actinic? Plugin or JavaScript?

Google 'Javascript Slideshow', a number of options open to you. Fade in slideshow is my fave.

a javascript library based option is usually a good choice. JQuery is probably the most popular. I've recently used scrollTo and innerFade.

Google 'Javascript Slideshow' means to put "Javascript Slideshow" into Google the search engine (like so - http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=Javascript+Slideshow), and Google will then list you a boatload of results where you can look at many free options. Dynamic drive is the best site for these sort of things IMO of which fade in slideshow is my personal favourite.
