I suspect that this is not a memory limit issue. I suggest that you log this with Actinic support so we can collect the details and it will then be passed to me for investigation. We will need Actinic product and OS details along with a snapshot and copies of the dmp files. Suppprt will advise how to upload the information once a ticket is logged.

This is the physical memory used by all processes. This is only of concern if it approaches the installed memory size, 4GB in your case. If this was common then on its own it would affect performance but not stability.

As Gordon indicated, version 10.0.3 does have some significant improvements in memory handling, and has been a good solution for several larger sites that have upgraded to it. We are doing more work in this area in v11.

This might go without saying, but I'll mention it just in case: if you are moving a single-user installation from XP to a Win 7 PC, and you have experienced memory issues or random crashes on the XP box, then IMO it's better to copy the site folder across rather than using a snapshot.

I will contact support later today. I have reinstalled V9 and the problem still persists. We had no problems when on XP and the site is not large at just over 100 products although many with permutations, etc. The most common point that a crash occurs is when swticthing from the Design tab back to the Orders tab.

I have also noticed that the monitor has a high pitch whine when the Orders screen is displayed which is not present for while viewiing other applications or even when using the design tab of Actinic.
I can also eliminate the whine if I reduce the number of orders displayed to just 10-15 or by making the window smaller, so before raising a support ticket it might be worth me testing a different monitor or looking at possible video driver issues.

Could this whine be linked to the crashes I have experienced.
