    SSL Advice Please

I have done a trawel of the forum but can't seem to find the answer to this one.

I used to use Actinic sveral years ago and am just coming back to it now.

I'm using a hosting package with strato which has a form of SSL but one that doesn't seem to work:-( In their blurb they say that you have to call up the site by using https://www.ssl-id.net/yourstratodomain.eu

I've tried putting this link link into the shared SSL credit card capture section in the url box. The upload etc all goes well and I can see the shop ok but when I go to the check out it bombs out with a 404 not found on https://www.ssl-id.net/mydomain.co.uk/sp000000.pl

I'm guessing it's maybe a path to the cgi-bin issue or similar so I just wondered if anyone has any exprience of this or something similar or have I got to go get myself a virtual server with a more standard SSL setup:-)

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Leigh

I suspect the only advice you're going to get is to change your payment method to a psp.

You're now only allowed to capture card details if your webserver and backoffice systems are fully PCI-DSS compliant which involves lots of technical issues and regular compliance checking and verification.

The only practical way to satisfy the requirements for anyone who doesn't have £50K* or so to throw at the problem is to use a PSP.

    * I pulled this number out of the air but it should give you an idea of the scale of the issues involved.
