Back from the dead

Hi everyone

I gave up on my ecommerce site a few years ago due to some certain jewellery companies imposing a rule that we could not sell their products on the net. This took away a large part of our business so we took our site off line.

Now these companies have had a change of mind and now we can sell their products.

Well since then we have a few new hard drives and so we have lost track of our Actinic V9 disk to enable us to reinstall it.

I have been onto the Actinic site but can only see V10 to down load.

Is there a 'place' where I can download V9?

Also having misplaced my original disks, would you think that Actinic HQ would have on record my authorisation Key?

I will of course ring them in the morning but I dont want to seem a prat when I call them.

record my authorisation Key?

The authorisation key may still be in the Registry of one of your machines if it has ever had the program loaded on it....

Start | Run | Regedit then browse to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actinic\Catalog\Sites\Catalog\Authorisation Key

I have requested copies before and they emailed them over ok to the original email address

Plugged in one of the old hard drives and recovered the auth code. Nice one.

As I am in V9 is there enough of a change in V10 to make the extra payment. I am on Business Plus and I dont need Freedo (?) nor the stock monitoring.

They are the major updates so I would stick with v9 for now, you can always uPgrade later on if you feel the need.

V11 is due out soon Andrew so I would wait for that rather than get V10 now, or get cover and then you will probably get both.
