can't connect to sites

Hi there, we are having major trouble connecting to our sites. We have a folder with 3 sites plus the site1.

We go to sites, sites directory and it only brings up site1 in the list. The other sites are defiantly in the folder and even if you copy all folders to a different location and try to connect to them again it says"the site directory already contains sites. Do you want to use existing data."

We have tried selecting yes and no to this question and both times and it still ends up with only site1 select-able in the list of sites.

Hope this makes sense and someone can help.

Someone has messed up your sites.ini file (in the Sites folder).

Look at it with notepad and make additional entries for your other sites - using the Site1 entry for guidance.

What I have now done is rename the website files _2 then livened a new site with the original site name then copied all files from the _2 folder into the new site folders. This seems to have worked, however if it still plays up I will use your solution.
