CodePath eBay order importer, MoleEnd OSOP, Actinic v9 & courier booking software

We have successfully been using CodePath's eBay order importer plug-in to pull orders into Actinic v9.
We process the order's using MoleEnd's One Stop Order Processing (for Actinic)

We've now created an exportable csv file in OSOP that will allow us to import directly into Royal Mail's (and any other courier for that matter) booking software.

However, we've now come across a fundamental problem (from a courier point of view) with our csv file.

None of the eBay orders contain any shipment weight information. The eBay products have been mapped (within the CodePath plug-in) across to the Actinic products.
All of the other Actinic online and manually entered offline orders contain all the weight information as per the data we have entered into Actinic.

Why don't the eBay orders pick up the same weight data?

I hope somebody can help and advise. I really could do with getting this resolved between now and Monday morning!!!!

I don't know about this but it could be that Actinic needs to 'see' the ebay orders for it to update the information you need. Try opening one of the ebay orders in Actinic and then closing it and see if that then produces the weight info.

What I suspect is that if the order is created by an external bit of software then Actinic isn't being given a chance to process the order details and bring in the extra information that isn't included in the order file.

The product weight is copied to the order details when the order is created in Actinic, I suspect that the codepath plugin is not putting that data into the order.

        Order Weight

Order weight is stored in Actinic in an 'opaque' field of amalgamated data which includes zone, class, weight and shipping charge. The eBay import does not contain information about the shipping class used and charged for and so without this, we cannot post a value to this field and so cannot store the weight of an order in the standard location in Actinic.

An option would be for us to calculate the total order weight and store this in the sUserDefinedGeneral field (referred to in the Actinic Application as General User Definable 3) providing that this field was currently unused and your Royal mail export software can be configured / customized to read the weight from this field instead.
