Problems with finding CGI-BIN URL on Fasthosts server

Hi - I am having trouble with network settings in that Actinic says the CGI-BIN URL cannot be located. It exists under 'htdocs' on the server and has permissions of 777. Tearing my hair out here - have tried every possible permutation of settings to no avail and have looked at length through the forums. Hopefully it's something obvious I'm missing! Please can anyone help? I am hosting with Fasthosts on a shared server. Before you all say that's my problem I have run Actinic sites on Fasthosts for years - but am wondering whether they have changed something. I would be grateful if someone could check through my settings before I start querying Fasthosts support. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike - don't know why I didn't find that before! Anyway I tried the settings and I'm still getting an error on doing a network settings test...

Actinic is not able to run the CGI scripts on the server. It appears as if the scripts are not installed. The most likely cause is that you have an incorrect CGI-BIN URL. If you've never uploaded the site, then you should do it before a download of orders. If you've uploaded the site ever, then Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.

I gave it a try refreshing the website anyway and all the scripts and catalog files seem to end up where they should but on running the site the linking is screwed up.

Unless anyone can suggest anything else I think it's time to involve Fasthosts!!

Thanks again Mike - appreciate the reply.

Change the word involve for leave and you're onto a winner.
