    design query for customer

    Hi folks,

quick query as im a bit confused:

    I run v8 business multisite.
I am designing a v8 site for a customer (all other sites are mine - this is the first for a paying customer).
they do not currently have actinic, so they will need v8 obviously... can they buy a license for an old version???

assuming this is not an issue:
so, when the design is complete, i'll snapshot, then they can import the snapshot.

then they add product, sections etc

as is normal, they want some design changes which are going to take a week or so to do,....

how should we best go about this?

or do i actually need developer to do this?? confused!

What I normally do is have the customer purchase their own copy directly. I do not believe they will be able to purchase v8 any more (and I wouldn't suggest they do so anyway), so you will have to build with v11. They can then let you have a copy of the key exclusively to build their site then hand it over to them when finished. For future changes you should really have your own licence, be that developer or business multisite. Failing that you could perhaps access remotely and make any required changes.
