Actinic 905 takes forever to open

Does anyone know why Actinic v9 takes forever to open, it's been running fine on a new server for the last 3 months or so?

How big is the database? Has it been compacted recently?

It includes around 1000 products! After a few tweaks to the server it's back to it's old speedy self!
