10 + 1 free

Had a quick look and couldn't find an answer so apologies if there was one and I missed it.

I'm looking to have a group of products and when you buy ten from it the 11th will be free.
Try as I might, and it's probably not seeing the wood for the trees, I can't make this work.

I have a group 10 + 1 but can't link back to it for the free product. Of course I grinned and set up another group 10 + 1 Free but you can't have the products in two groups at the same-time.

Anyone got a chainsaw?

Hello Andy

Please try the following(assuming all the 11 products are in the same group). In the Cart Contents tab, select Quantity as a trigger = 11 and the product group in the corresponding field. Under Rewards, you can select % off cheapest, set the Reward amount as 100 and OK.
This way the cheapest 11th product from the particular group would have its price knocked off.

any ideas on the following?
We want to have a discount so that when you add 7 items from the group you are given 2 free (9 in total). It's presented to the customer as the price falling from £6.30 to £4.90 when they buy 9. Again maybe not seeing the wood for the trees but there doesn't seem to be an option that would work.

Just tried some possibilities for this. If the reduced price is a definite number, i.e, £4.90 for 9 products, then perhaps you could use the Fixed price discount option in the cart Contents tab.
So setting a trigger quantity of 9 and assigning a Fixed price, the cart would automatically apply the reduced price once required number of products are added to cart.
A message to this effect can be added in the Presentation tab, which will prompt customers to add up to the trigger quantity to avail the said discount.
