Error sending Order confirmation / Dispatch emails

Hi. I have seen lots of threads concerning this but we cannot sem to fix this.

My host is www.pair.com

My website URL is www.fetishwear-uk.co.uk

I have tried putting localhost in the SMTP settings but still getting errors stating

Failed to communicate with the SMTP server.

Possible Cause:
1. Network transmission problems.
2. Could have Changed the SMTP Server settings, but not Uploaded after that.

Recommendation:
1. Retry
2. Upload the Site First, if you have changed the SMTP Server Settings.

Resolution:
If retry fails, check your SMTP settings
or contact your ISP.

The error was:
58327wayne.cadman@googlemail.comError returned from SMTP server (4: 5.7.1 <wayne.cadman@googlemail.com>: Relay access denied

Is that the sending address we're seeing in the error? If so you should use an email address on the same domain as the website.

Hello Mike.
No thats a test error from a customers order I have sent to myself to see if it worked.
It seems pair.com cannot relay.
Can you help?

Is this a recent problem? Those Relay Denied errors go back 8 months and for the 12 months before that you this error:

What do Pair say about sending via emails via smtp?
