    Excellent...

Open that file (using your FTP program, or alternatively download it and edit it in Notepad)

You want to add the following line to the contents... make sure not to alter any of the existing contents

    Redirect /index.html http://www.fantasygirl.co.uk/acatalog/

Cut and paste this EXACTLY as written above, then close the file and reupload to your server so we can test the outcome!

By the way, whilst you have the .htaccess file open, have a quick look to see if there are any other references to index.html in the existing contents... It may be that someone has blocked access to your homepage using the .htaccess file in the first place!!

Good, good... if the file was blank then to be on the safe side we should also add the following line at the top of the file... cut and paste as before:

        RewriteEngine On

Then with both lines in place, reupload and test!

You don't need to do anything else, Sue... that's it sorted... see my previous post

Re. designing... I couldn't even begin to lace the shoes of some of the designers on this forum. There are far better options than me, but it's flattering to be asked

Louise, Norman, Duncan, Mike, teclan all seem to know what they're doing... and there are many others on here who I'm sure might be willing and able to assist.

I suppose as far as designers on the forum go then this thread is your advert

They'll see it, and if anyone wants to get in touch and offer their skills then I'm sure they will.

Otherwise, yes you'd be looking for a web designer with specific Actinic/SellerDeck experience. They can only say no if you approach them?

Google is your friend, but the handful I mentioned earlier seem to know the product inside out!!
