    Unpaid orders

Up till a while ago paid orders went into Pending and Completed, unpaid went into pending...which was fine.

Lately though all orders go into Pending and Completed and we need to check manually if they are paid. This by itself although awkward isn't too much of a problem but Actinic sends out an email saying we are dealing with the order, whether paid or not and this doesn't look good to customers who may not realise the payment hasn't gone through and will expect an order!

I've seen a few posts about all orders going into pending but no posts with my problem.

I'm a little confused about this.

Usually, paid orders go into 'Pending' until you've processed them when they move into the 'Completed' section. 'Pending and Completed' is just the two combined which is handy if you need to search for an existing order.

Unpaid orders should appear in the 'Pending PSP' tab. If you cancel them by deleting the items on the order then they will move into the 'completed' tab.

Actinic will usually only send the customer a confirmation email if the order is paid. The exception is if payment is on account.

It might be best if you explain a bit more about what forms of payment you're taking and how you want the ordering process to work. It sounds as if the setup you're using has gone wrong somewhere.

      Thanks Mike,

The unpaid orders were showing up as Payment on Account for some reason which Actinic would see as paid, hence the email to the customer. We have now removed this option and left only PayPal website Payments and pay offline. (we only use a PayPal merchant account)

This should put the system back to how it used to be, hopefully.
