Most merge request errors are resolved when you do a refresh.

The cgi-bin scripts are coming up with "You do not have permission to access this document". First thing would be to check FTP permissions.

Thanks, as I said I am not a programmer but had a quick look at the cgi-bin and there is a file in there caller 'error' . I am assuming that is the file we are talking about but cannot see anything that resembles 'permissions' ?

The most recent entry in the file is below, although it is dated 23rd June, I was writing an easy user guide to users more computer illiterate than myself (takes some doing) and complied a section on users and discounts which I never use but maybe I upset something and never noticed it was wrong as the front page seems ok ??

            Program = CATACACC, Program version = 76 , HTTP Server = Apache/2.2.3 (CloudLinux) , Return code = 999 , Date and Time = 2013/06/10 12:08, Internal Errors = The input is NULL

Sorry to be a pain with what to you must seem obvious but many. many thanks for your help it is much appreciated

              Sorry

              called error not caller error
              compiled not complied

              D'oh....

Don't know which FTP client you use but this article tells you what you need to do and is pretty much the same for any FTP client:

I use FTP Commander, a bit old fashioned but for the little FTP work I do it has always been adequate.

I changed the files in the cgi-bin to 755 following the dummies book, although it said to change both the files on the computer and on the FTP server and I could only see the cgi-bin folder on the FTP server so only did the one set maybe that is the issue ! Dunno

Nothing has changed or am I being stupid as to expect it to as nothing changed on the computer ?

Did you change cgi-bin folder permissions also?. You cannot change file permissions on the computer, the software will upload scripts.

How did you know !! Changed the folder attributes as well and now the store is accessible, you are a star!!!!

Wonderful, all part of life's big learning curve so I am back to where I started which is fantastic as customers can now place orders again

So I am now back at my original issue which is how to configure it from Paypoint the current PSP to Worldpay. When I tried it this morning It caused all these other problems, it was working fine until then !!

won't that just cause it to happen all over again ?

Now I think about it I think on my travels this morning I saw (but didn't look) may threads about Worldpay as they have changed something in their set up protocols or something. Do you know about this ?

Probably not. If you are referring to the email WorldPay sent then no changes are required, read the SellerDeck reply here.
