checkout page error

Hi,

We recently encountered to IE11 update problem, thanks to the knowledge base we have managed to sort this out. But now we keep getting an error message when a buyer attempts to use our checkout. The error states:

A General Script Error Occurred

Error: Error opening ../acatalog/86Z151Z59Z40A1385630084B9600.session (Permission denied)
Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner

I have compacted the database, deleted the session files via FTP from the acatalog folder and then performed a full purge and refresh. This has had no effect.

We are using actinic version 9 which is no longer offering support via a form of snapshot.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've had a quick look at the site and
I cannot access the error log from the cgi-bin, could you check the file permissions of the acatalog and cgi-bin..

Cgi-bin 755
acatalog 777

If the permission are set to anything but 777 on the cgi-bin we get a message saying we do not have permission to write in the folder and the upload will not get past this error.

Our host is hostway and we are on their windows advanced plan.
