Price not showing when adding a new products

Here's my problem : my site (www.secondemain.ca) contains 35000 products (books).
When I add new products, the price won't show after I add 3 or 4 new Items.
I must close Actinic and add the prices after reopening, I must correct the prices of the last products added.

Am I getting to the limit of database/program or my problem is something else ?

    I am using Actinic (9.0.5.1.0.0.JHZA) with Win7 + Intel i7-3770 @ 3,50 GHz + 16g of RAM memory.
Would adding 16g of RAM memory solve the problem ?

    Thank you !

I don't believe v9 is optimised for 64 bit machines and hence more memory may not help - but don't rule it out. Look at memory usage and see what's being used to get an idea.

There is no product limit but 35000 is a lot of products. How big is your database? Does it take ages to open Actinic? If it' slareg and takes a long time to open then consider purging some orders and compacting to see if it helps. (Backup first!)

    A few questions...
When you say the price won't show is that in the preview pane or online?
Have you compacted the database? If not do so frequently.
Are you entering products with the preview pane open? If so try closing that pane.
Has this started happening all of a sudden?

Loading time is less than 5 minutes !
      Database is : 198 068 Ko (Mo ?)
Price always appear online version if the're displayed.on my computer.
The database is compacted after each products/invoices addition... because I get a « dump error » when uploading the site.
My screen is divided in two vertical panels : Products listing on the left. On the right, tab view : Product Details + Page preview. I add the new product detail and, after, I click on the tab preview to check if everything is o.k. !
The problem began apperaring « slowly » ! I would be able to add 20-25 products and, then I would see the price and the description (Prix : ) not displaying. Now, it's happening after the addition of two or three products... That's why I'm suspecting a memory problem... But I don't know how Actinic is interacting with the database.
Could you displace my question in the V9 forum. I just saw that I posted in the wrong forum...

What you describe does look like Actinic is struggling.

I'm not sure what else to suggest.
Have you tried monitoring memory usage?

        PS - moved the thead.

It does sound as if it's having trouble keeping up.

If you aren't already using one, an SSD hard drive might speed things up. They aren't that expensive these days and the rest of your computer is pretty high spec.

There is a known performance issue on sites with a lot of sections (or single product pages) in V9, which is related to the preview pages being generated in the background IIRC.

            See here: http://community.sellerdeck.com/showthread.php?t=45309

An upgrade to a more recent version of Sellerdeck might help.

Turn off the preview screen imo, see if that helps, you're running SD at the edge of its capability, time to make future plans possibly.

It may be worth installing the 30 day trial of SD 2013 and importing a Snapshot of your existing site into it. It shouldn't affect your existing site.

I added 50 new books without a single problem!
Huuuuum! I think an upgrade is the way go.

Would sellerdeck enterprise be a better long term solution as I presume the store is growing faster than the sales
