We are going to be selling Scottish Gifts 4U branded jute bags but we also want to give them away free when the shopping cart reaches a certain amount.

Is this possible?

I have looked back the forums and read of a defunct plug in which would have worked but can you do it just through the settings?

Yes, you can give them away free with orders above a certain level. (but you probably need 'Business' rather than 'Catalog' - handily Sellerdeck has an offer on the upgrade if you need it).

What you can't do, unless someone has found a work around (or it's been added recently), is get the product to automatically add itself to the cart. This has to be done manually by the customer.

Thanks Mike, we have got business (but only 9 it seems to do most things we need) I'll look at the settings.

Meantime I've just said we will add in a bag when your order reaches a certain amount which will keep us going for now.
