Coupon code recognition

I have started using coupon codes on an actinic site but although they work fine when a user enters a code there is no confirmation/acknowledgement that anything has changed until they go to the cart after ordering something.

Is there a way of letting the user know that their coupon code has been accepted?

I'm afraid there is no confirmation page available. The only indication could be that the customer sees that the little shopping cart summary box changes its value.

Thanks Chris - any sort of flag would be good whether it is a redirect page with a message or a small coupon icon somewhere say near the basket, that is visible when the coupon code has been entered.
