Importing Searchable Properties

Alrite,

I know that u can import a file and make certain fields searchable. But when using Searchable Properties is there any way of importing a file and changing the property of certain data to allow it to be searchable??? I know that you would have to manually configure the Search Settings (or do you???), but is there anyway of achieving this than doing it manually???

I am using flat and hierarchical imports.
