    Shipping

    Hello all

We have a product where the product weight is as follows:

    1 unit = 6kg
    12 units = 26kg

Is there any way in Actinic of assigning different postage to cover the different weights?

ie, if you provide a figure of 6kg as the product weight, it will make the total weight for 12 items = 72kg but that is not the actual weight.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

What is it that causes the discrepancy between 1 unit and 12 units?

It's in the packing. By buying more items there are some economies of scale, as it were, in the packing materials.

You could put in the actual item weight which would then give the correct shipping for an order irrespective of how many items are ordered, and add a handling fee to cover the packaging.

We have told the people we're doing it for that that, or a similiar option, such as building packing into the price of the goods, would be the way to go.

Thanks for your help on that one, it is appreciated.
