    delivery charge, except for ....

    anyone done this?

    my client wants to have a minimum order of .. say £100, and then charge (not sure until this afternoon, but .. possibly .. ) a fixed delivery charge UNLESS the total order exceeds (say) £250 exVAT

    once that is reached delivery will be included free.

    can actinic handle this? and .. if it can .. is there any way the shopping cart (or somewhere near the shopping cart) can receive a graphic or textual message saying something like .. "minimum order not reached", then "delivery + £x" and finally "congratulations you clever person you .. you now qualify for free delivery! hurrah!"

    now that would be clever .. but is it possible?

    I think that by using the Shipping calculator based on Values you can assign Order Values...

    So would be something like:

    249.99 = 5.00
    250.00 = 0.0

    So, up to 249.99 costs them 5 in shipping and over 250 costs them nothing.

    With regards to limiting to a minimum £100 order value, go into View | Business Settings | Ordering and in there you will find a Min Order Value option, where you can set the 100 minimum order to be accepted, but this will affect the whole site, but presume this is what you were after.
