    cookie redirect problem

Hope someone can help with this...

I've set up a 'newsletter' html page within directory 'aanews' here - the pics are linked in the normal way - however, when clicked the default directory remains as 'aanews' (as opposed to acatalog) and returns 404 errors for every link.

any subsequent visit to the site - default directory remains 'aanews'

It seems the cookie is being 'confused' - any help appreciated

    thanks

I don't think it's the cookie, I think you need a 'basehref' statement at the top of the page like all your other actinic pages/templaes.

Mike, thanks for the speedy reply - I've tried inserting the basehref as a variable (direct from a template) and as the actual path but still the same errors.

      am I missing something?

      thanks again

I can't see any errors. Can you describe exactly what you mean so I can reproduce the problem.

Mike, when you click the product pics on this page do you get into the shop or is a "404 error can't find /aanews/file.html" dispalyed?

The product pics take me straight into the shop.

It could be that your PC is caching an old page. Try doing a CTL-refresh.

Mike, no joy. which is why I think it's cookie issue; when I enter the site directly, the 'aanews' directory is called upon - so it must be stored in a cookie somewhere...

brick wall and head are getting closer

              thanks

It might be a corrupt session, in which case you can clear it (and all the other active sessions so be careful as everyone will lose their shopping carts) by going to help>troubleshooting>purge sessions files.

cookie found, deleted and hey presto, everything OK.

Mike, is there further documentation regarding basehref and cookie issues? I'm planning a customer mail shot and need to be 100% certain that the issue is resolved.

                  thanks again for your time

I'm not aware of any documentation.

I came across the basehref when setting up my site and subsequently when using a subdirectory for some links. I've only experienced a single case of the cookie session error in 3 years of using actinic so I think it's a relatively rare occurence.
