Situation:
When I run the Test in Advanced / Network Setup I get the following message:
"The server returned an invalid or unrecognised response"
which, upon OK'ing returns:
“The test script failed to execute on the web server. The error could be caused by several things. Check the path to the Perl shell, the CGI script extension, the path to CGI-BIN, and the CGI-BIN URL. This error could also occur if your web site is out of disk space or your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts.”
However, I do get the correct message back to my email account saying:
"This is the test message from Actinic Catalog. The email address and SMTP server you specified in the network preferences are correct."
In fact, I get TWO identical messages!!!
Check-up / tests:
* When Malcolm (at Artisan) runs the Test from his copy, he doesn't get the error messages I get and I only get the one confirmation email.
* When we compared Advanced / Network Setup settings, they were identical.
* When I run both the ‘Update’ and ‘Website Refresh’ I have no apparent problems.
Therefore, should I worry / change anything or just carry on regardless?
Cheers,
Bob W.
