    USA Shipping

    Hello

Is there any way in Actinic US version of configuring the system to use DHL, Fedex or USPS (NOT UPS) to offer postcode specific shipping rates, for US postcodes?

Currently I can only see that we could offer as specific as state level with these shippers, by (potentially) setting each state as a separate shipping zone.

The aim is for the client to be able to ship goods based on postcode level. Ie, the customer enters their postcode at the beginning of checkout and the rates are based on delivery from the clients' premises to a certain postcode and use rates provided by those shippers.

Any suggestions at all would be most gratefully received.

    Hi there

Currently this functionality is available for UPS, but not available for any other carriers. Sorry about that.

      Thank you Chris.

I see there are options to integrate Web Services via XML/HTTP so I'll have a crack at those.

Is there any way in Actinic of accessing the order weight value, even if it means opening the session file or the cookie to get a total weight value?

I do realise the session file and cookie diesn't by default have this value - anywhere else??

      Thanks for your help.

      DaveT.

I'm not sure there is. The weights are stored in the binary *.cat files which are accessed by the Perl during the checkout phase in order to calculate a total weight of the order.
