I have spoken to actinic and they dont know of up-sell, its not in the help files in vers7 but was in version 6.
Can you please tell me if it is available in ver7.

Neither V6 or V7 support Upsell. I'm not sure what you read about in V6 but there's no built-in functionality to do this.

I have written an extension that implements upsell items for V6 and V7. You can see it on www.drillpine.biz/actinicstuff/ - there's a demo site and a trial download.

in an manual supplied on the vers6 coarse there is a section in there called up sell.
It enables you to sell say disc brakes, and then when the customer selects and goes through the buying process it pops up with a suggestion that they could also buy the pads to go with it, and adds it to the cart.

They have just come back and have givena brief explaination, they are going to mail me directions. Will play with it.

I used to achive somthing similar using componants and associating these with relevant products from the catalog. What this basically does is to put check boxes on the product page that allows users to add other products at the same time, the downside is the quantity is always set to that of the original product.

Infact i was shopping yesterday and came accross a website that uses this method.
