Home button in navigation missing

I have a site that I am upgrading from v5 to v7, however the the home button has become greyed out within Design | Options | navigation. This means the home button is missing from the site as well.
How can I get it back?

Try > Design | options | Misc tab and see if the Home Page Link is set to none.

That should once enabled, bring it back on - I thinks..
