Help - all links via CGI bin failing!

Also posted on Developer Forum, but very urgent to get a response:

Our site www.wise.co.uk has been running quite happily. We make a lot of use of links into catalog from our main site using links of the form:

    http://www.wise.co.uk/cgi/ss000001.p...o.uk/acatalog/

This has been working fine, but has just stopped working when I try to browse the site from my PC running XP SP2. If I click on any link which has an "&" in it, it fails and one of two things happens - it either results in page not found 404, or goes straight to our main index page!

My colleague running NT4 on another PC can browse the site normally, (as could I earlier today)! We are both using IE6, both on the same network and both accessing the Internet via the same router/firewall and ADSL link. The site is enabled in the browser security settings

Does anyone know what might be happening?

Could people access our site and try it to see if it works for them please?
(Go to www.wise.co.uk and click on either of "Special Offers" or "New Courses" on the right hand side. It also fails on the left side menu items, and the view cart button.

Note, I have tried clearing the cache, rebooting the PC - all to no avail. However, this did happen once before earlier in the week and curiously went away after 5 minutes - this time it is not going away!

    Hi Tim

Tried all the menus and everthing is working for me, I'm running XP SP2 and did not notice any problems with your site.

Have you checked your security settings on IE, they may be set to high, other than that, can anyone else suggest a fix?

    Good luck

Seems to be working for me, Windows XP SP2, IE6 and Firefox PR-1.

Thanks for checking the site out.

I've checked the browser security settings and they seem to be OK, i.e. medium for the Internet Zone and medium-low for trusted and local intranet zones - put the site into trusted, but to no avail...

Try going to 'Help | Troubleshooting | Purge Session Files'. It may be you have a dodgy session file on the server for your visit which has a wrong reference in it for the Base URL.

Please note that purging the session files will end any currently-open carts on your store.

Spot on! That has resolved the problem.

            Thanks very much.
