I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem I've been struggling with.
I have a very disparate group of products - they don't fit very neatly into separate categories, but they do have 4 quite distinctive searchable custom properties which I've defined.
The primary way into the catalogue is to search on these categories, then buy from the resulting list of 'hits'.
Now, I've already determined that I can't add an 'add to cart' button directly from the results list. It appears that all I can do is go from the results list to a full list of all the products in a category - but as I mentioned any categories I define are purely artificial, so I really don't want the user to go to the middle of a list of mostly unrelated products.
I've tried cutting out the categories and having all the products at the top-level under 'online catalogue', but there are a LOT of products, and I'm having trouble getting the right templates at this level.
Has anybody got any suggestions as to how I could either (a) go straight from the results list to a SINGLE entry containing ONLY one products info, or (b) some other work-around that wouldn't involve the user seeing info about products that were not relevant to the search?
Any help gratefully accepted!
