Account sign up Add to Cart button

Hi,
I'm using the online account sign up, as described in the AUG, it works very well except for one thing.

I've changed the add to cart button to an image that says"sign up for account" by commenting out the
<!--<Actinic:ACTIONS>NETQUOTEVAR:ADDTOCARTBUTTON</Actinic:ACTIONS>-->
original add to cart then included the code from the add to cart buttom template. It works great except I no longer have the attributes showing.

I need attributes for "free gift" "no gift" options as part of sign up.

Any ideas on a work around?

There's a discussion of this in the Advanced Guide. Look for NETQUOTEVAR:VARIANTS. Basically if you comment out the Cart Button you need that netquotevar to lay out the variants.
