Dynamic Images - Attn Norman / Highlander

    Hello

I'm using Norman's excellent dynamic image switching patch and it works like a dream, just one problem though...

When more that one product on a page is set to use the image switch the first product on the page works fine but subsequent products switch the image on the first product, not on their own. This applies equally if the images to be switched have a different filename.

Have you come across this / is there a work around?

    Many Thanks

    Peter

Your products are using an identical image for the main picture. This has to be different (just save the same image with a different filename) for each product that appears on the same page.

I think you're mistaken when you say This applies equally if the images to be switched have a different filename as it works just fine for me.

PS I've posted the latest version patch on www.drillpine.biz/actinicstuff/ so I can maintain it easier.

Thanks for coming back on this Norman

I have rechecked and can confirm that the image has a different filename.

On the first product selecting polished brass brings up sm-FTD670CTB.jpg but when selecting polished brass on the second product it brings up sm-FTD670CTBb.jpg

It's a bit confusing as the image is actually the same one, just renamed.

If you can look again I've changed the image for a different one.

To recap; selecting polished brass on the second product changes the image on the first, as it does with the third and fourth products.

I'm specifying the correct template on each product, rather than using 'parent'. As you can see from the site the templates work fine on the select button images.

      Problem page is here

      Thanks once again

      Peter
