    Browser Security Settings Error

Our client site has two areas, content and shop.

The content part of the site is in frames and the client wanted to load the actinic part of the site via a simple url rather than in a new window.

    Here's the problem:

mysite/shop/ - the iframe loads the actinic site fine but at the checkout stage there is a cookie - check your browser security settings / 128 bit encryption error from HSBC.

This error does not occur if a customer enters the shop via the link at mysite/online-shop.html

The idea of using the i-frame (yes I know only IE recognises iframes) was for the actinic shop to appear to be "inside" the client's HTML site.

Is there a way for this to work ?

For SSL to work, it needs to be able to negotiate an SSL connection between the servers SSL certificate (in this case HSBC) and the visitors browser.

Because the page is being shown in a frame, this can not be achieved to the extent where the Browser can display the Golden Padlock in the status bar, hense a security message.

You could try changing Design | Options | Misc and No Frame in Checkout option to try and force a fresh browser without frames or windows for the checkout phase.

Cheers for the reply but that didn't work so we'll rework the site so the actinic part loads in a new window and create links from the /shop index page to get a pseudo look.

        Hi Mike

Do you still get the error with the new look?
