I'm probably being thick here but I can not find anyway to give a blanket 10% discount to every product in a product group.

We want to have a 10% off day for everything we sell that isn't already on Special Offer.

I know there must be an easy way to do this but I can't see it!

Hi,

I would suggest that if all of your products are contained within a product group, to then go into Discounts and Surcharges Settings and create a discount for that product group based on Quantity and Trigger of 1, then reward type of % off and reward amount 10 (being 10%) I would have thought would work..

Thanks - just worked that one out! However what I would really like to do is to show the old price and the discount price next to each product - don't suppose this is possible without manual intervention?

Showing the old and the new automatically would not be possible no.

What you could do is add in a CUSTOMVAR:ORIGPRICE

into your product templates next to the price netquotevar or where it sits best....

Then, when you come to adding the discount to the products, then also enable this new customvar at the Design | Options level with some text along the lines of "10% discount applied to all products for this day only" or something like that... Which will atleast enable you to.......

1. Enable the discount in the Discounts & Surcharges area.
2. Add something easily to all products identifying the discount.
