Logged in customers, discount on certain products only ?

I have a specific group of customers, who login for a discount on one range only. ie Landrover Bikes.

I want to allow 12.5% discount on this one range...and also allow them to see the the rest of our shop at normal web prices.

In 'Product Groups' .. I have added the products that I want them to get a 12.5% discount into 'Product Assignments'
But the discount applies to our whole range, rather than the specific products I have selected. !

Is it possible to give different discounts to certain product groups for logged in customers ? If so, how?

I've searched for the answer to this question .. apologies if its repeated elsewhere.

I would assign your customers that you want to give this extra discount to with a new Customer Groups name....

Then, within the prices tab of each product you want to give this extra discount, add the customer group and there specific discounted price.

Should work and no doubt plenty of other ways, but that seems the easiest and quickest if only talking about a handfull of products...

Its still giving 12.5% off everything

Sorry to be thick ..
But .. if I set up the discount at 12.5%, it still gives it off all products, not just the selected small group of products.

The only way round it I can see, is to go into every other product in the shop (and there will be thousands) and untick each product. Surly there is a better way?

Hi there Bea,

I've just tried this on a default store, and it works fine by using Product Group. If i have set up a product group, which just has one product and assigned a 12.5% discount to this product group, then the discount just happens for that product, making sure all other products where unassigned.
