Problem at the end of checkout process

I've just been playing around with my in development site and come across a strange problem on checkout.

If I choose the 'Invoice with order' or 'Send credit card details seperately' the receipt shows fine and clicking the 'done' button takes me back to the section of the last product added to the basket, fine, no problem.

If, however, I choose to use 'credit card' as the payment method, using the standard Actinic encryption, the receipt is displayed but on selecting 'done' it just displays the root /acatalog/ page and displays the directory listing as there is no index page.

Why the different behaviour and how can it be fixed?

    Payment method?

What payment method is linked to Credit Card in View | Business Settings?

Is it "Credit card details captured for later use" or is it "Credit card details sent seperately" or something else?

I don't have access to the machine running Catalog at present so cannot check that setting.

How would that affect the target of the 'done' button which is what causes the problem?

        Credit card methods

If you are using "Credit card details captured for later use" then, yes, something else should be happening and isn't.

But if you are using "Credit card details sent seperately" or something else such as 'Cheque on Delivery', 'Cash with order' then "These are payment methods where the payment details are sorted out by directly contact with the customer after receiving the order." (Quote from Actinic Help file).

You really need to access the PC with Catalog on to narrow down what is happening.

Image below shows the settings section I presume you are referring to.

The problem only occurs if you've provided credit card details using the actinic built in security.

            Hi Mark

There should be no changes to this as all these payment method should be the same. The only differences is, that when you are using the java applet, its encrypting the order on your website.

What the url of this site that causing this problem? We need to create a test order on your site to find out why this is happening?

The short-term fix would be to go into "Design | Options | Miscellaneous". On "Generation Options", simply tick "No Frames in Checkout" and put in for the "Url for Completed and Aborted Checkout" your full website address, ie http://www.domain.co.uk/

Include the slash at the end otherwise you will get problems.

            Kind Regards

              Thanks for the response.

I've actually hidden the 'done' button on the receipt page and replaced it with a simple hyperlink back which takes the user back to the start of the store. This hack works but would be intrigued to know the actual reason for it occuring.

I will change back tonight when i have access to Actinic and post to advise when I have in order that you can test it.

              Cheers
