Fasthosts and SSL

Hi all,

After asking fasthosts about the ssl they provide I got this message from their support.

"The only SSL we provide is on a shared SSL server where the domain name is fixed."

Would this cause problems with the store checkout in any way? Or is it ok to use this type of ssl with actinic. I am quite happy to look else where for SSL and would appreciate any advice on this subject. The website will be hosted on normal fasthosts servers.

A search of the forum for things like fasthosts and then ssl with it will bring up a mixed bag of peoples problems, with some giving up and others finding a way around it.

It seems the best starting point is to see if your hosting is provided on Linux as the new Windows servers with them seems to be causing Actinic users a few problems.

If you do a search you should find those who are using fasthosts and then email them from within the forum to see if they can provide you with some first hand answers and advise maybe.
