Froogle UK Datafeed File

Does anybody know what the score is with actinic and Froogle's datafeed files?

The feed from Actinic needs a bit of manipulation for Froogle. Jan at Mole-end software does a very nice 'Froogle Mash' tool that does all the important bits and is being used by myself and others members of this community. We have been using the feed straight out of Actinic with the top couple of lines deleted (the ones with the # in them).
It seems to be working fine?

Can you advise what else is incorrect in the standard Froogle Feed from Actinic?

I couldn't say for sure, but things to watch out for include:

- Embedded html must be removed.
- Do you want zero value products (such as dummy products) to be included?
- Prices in the froogle feed must include VAT
- Do you want the currency column to be included?

My froogle feed keeps getting rejected with the message 'you need to have VAT included on every page....' but my products DO include VAT. What could I be doing wrong?

'page' implies that you have products on your web site without VAT. Could that be the reason?

if you've taken the feed straight from Actinic then the chances are that the feed prices won't include VAT.

FYI. Jan's Froogle masher can be set to uplift all prices by 1.175 to adjust for VAT. As long as there's no custom VAT settings this should do the job.

I have a beta version that is much easier to use, it gets the data straight from the Actinic database rather than from the actinic output file.

It has an option to supply product URLs rather than page URLs and also adds the VAT as defined for each product. It is much much better than the old one.
