Displaying Todays Date on home page

Hi

I have been looking through the Knowledge Base etc looking for help in showing "Today's Date" on the brochure (home page).

I came across one thread but that related to modified date and also displayed HH MM SS as well (not required).

Is there a simple java script around that performs this minor task?
