Order number format

Hello
Anyone know how I can change the order number format? At the moment, customers are allocated a number like this: A9157A10000033. This doesn't mean anything to me let alone my customers!
Anyone know how I can change this?

The order number is a combination of the customer name, post code and right at the very end a unique auto incrementing number.

It is not possible to change this I am afraid.
