file permissions error

Morning all.

I'm hoping to use some .php in my site. A simple .php page seems to work perfectly outside my acatalog folder but as soon as I put the page inside the acatalog folder I get the following error message.

A file permissions error has occurred running this script.
Please check that the script and the directory that it's in are only writable by the site administrator.
If this error persists, please contact the server administrator.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I'm not a server administrator but I think with 'Windows' servers you have to specify which applications are allowed to run in which folders. This could be just a case of asking your hosting company to allow php to run in the 'acatalog' folder. I'm not sure if this is the same for 'Unix' servers.
