Linking back to the View basket and Checkout pages

Hello All!

I have a few pages that are custom HTML files that reside outside of the acatalog folder.

I was wondering if it is possible to link back to the View Basket and Checkout pages from outside the acatalog folder?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Kevin

The Advanced Users Guide (Word version) explains how you can achieve this,
1. Viewing the Shopping Cart from Anywhere on the Internet (Pg 42)
2. Adding to Cart from Anywhere on the Internet (Pg 42)

If you do not have the Users guide, you can download it from here
You will need to download the Actinic v7 Advanced User Guide [Zipped Word format 0.9MB].

Hi

Does the workaround on Pg 54 in the Advanced Users Guide ("Putting A Login Page Anywhere on Your Site") help at all ?
Please note that this can be done only in the Business and Developer versions of the software.

To link directly to your checkout pages, for e.g to the Select Shipping Destination page, you can hard code a link in the non-Actinic page like this :
http://yourURL/cgi-bin/os00000x.pl?ACTION=Start

where:
yourURL = your website URL
x (in os00000x) = your cgi-script ID
