    multi column layouts and subsections

    Hi all

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong with my multi-column layouts.

I've set the customvar NUMCOLS default to 2 columns in Design - Options - Site Defaults - Properties.

Works fine on my top sections. Two columns.

However when I set the number of columns to 1 in the Properties tab of a sub section of the top section - it overwrites the default - and the parent section reverts to a single column of products!

Is it possible to apply different numbers of columns within sub-sections?

BY setting the default columns to 2 x 2 etc, which then show top-level sections in a 2 x 2.

By then assigning at the top-level section the Location and Arrangments to say 3 x 3 will set it for all sections within that top level section.

That is how it works, so double check those settings and you should be ok and it should work how you require it.
