Hello again
I have a couple of questions, any help would be greatly appreciated!
1. I want to make the otherinfo prompts only appear in the basket once a product has been added, and not on the product page itself (see the customisable Oscar trophy product at the Actinic demo store site: http://www.actinic.co.uk/examples/acatalog/). I have tried to set the value in text id 2161 to "" or "Enter your message here" whilst commenting out the prompts in the Act_ProductLine template. But it didnt work!!!
2. How do I change the error message design? I have already tried to do this in the ActinicConstants.pm file but have had no joy.
3. I'm not overly keen on the basket bounce page, is there a way of taking the customer straight to the basket once added, instead of using this bounce page which then redirects the user back to the product page. It must be noted that I set the bounce page delay to 0 and the whole basket stopped working! I have since changed it back to 5 seconds.
4. Finally, I have posted on this forum a couple of times asking for advice on the basket display panel on the acatalog pages in my site. In case you are wondering the URL is http://www.readingnightlife.co.uk/acatalog/. I am not sure if it is working, as it works on some PC's and not on others. The problem is that once a product has been added to the basket, the basket display panel picks it up in the cgi-bin pages but not the acatalog pages. I have changed the setting for deleting baskets to 24 hours and it then suddenly worked on my works PC but not at home! I'm unsure whether it is a cookie problem and the PC's that viewed the site when it wasnt working have retained information whilst others have been able to see the basket display in the acatalog pages fine. Please help, I am running out of ideas! Thanks!
- Just had a brainwave and tried something regarding point 4. The path from the CGI-BIN pages (i.e. basket, checkout) to the acatalog pages is removing the www. part of the domain name. Hence the cookies are not recognising the basket. When I add the 'www.' part into the address the basket panel works. Weird, but how do I fix this? I reckon that would pretty much solve problem 4.
