Quicky - Delivery and shipping rate query

    Hello

(we've had an incredibly hectic Actinic day today, but have solved all the complex nagging issues!!!)

So, here's an easier query we hope someone may be able to help us with. The florist we are building a site for has 2 different delivery options for her customers. She will deliver to the local area (Marlow, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire) the same day for £3.50, and will deliver next day to the rest of the UK for £6.50. Is there a way of setting up these 2 different delivery options for the customer to pick from? (my knowledge of setting delivery options is a bit hazy, i can do simple flat rate postage easy enough).

    Thanks.

We "think" we've set up the delivery methods to the criteria we asked for in this post. 2 rates to choose from, one at £3.50 called Local, and one at £6.50 for rest of UK.

Our question is how do you remove the delivery rate from the basket/cart page, it displays 1 of the rates by default and adds itself to the cart total. This can mislead the customer as they'll think thats the postage they have to pay for. We'd rather it only displayed the subtotal and VAT in cart, then let the customer pick the rate of delivery when they're at the checkout. (it does do this functionality already, but still displays on basket).

It's only remembering the delivery option that was picked the last time a user from that PC went through checkout. Fresh customers won't see the charge until they go to checkout.

You can verify this by deleting the relevant cookies from your pc.
