Checking HTTP connection to remote server ERROR

    Hi All,

Because my trial server doesn't work anymore, I have to upload my shop onto my own server (a demon server), but I have got a problem.

    I am currently working in:
    WEB | configure website details

After a while it is going to check Perl installation but it seems to be hanging and it gives this error:
Checking HTTP connection to remote server

    Could you please help me

    Please help me!

I still have the same problem.
Could it be my firewall! If so, how can i go around that?

      Hi Chris,

Do you know if the permissions are set correctly?

      acatalog = 777
      cgi-bin = 755

If so can you go to Advanced | Network Setup, then click the test button.

      What errors do you get?
      Regards,

      Toby Blanchard

        Hi toby,

I solved this problem now, thank you.
Perhaps you can help me with this question?:

Is there a way to import shipping prices from our shipping company into actinic? We have got our own prices that we agreed with them.
        Could anyone please advise me?

          Hi Chirs,

You can import shipping data through a hierarchal csv file (File | Import). You will need to make sure it’s in the correct format.

We have some example shipping import files in C:\Program Files\Actinic v7\Sites\Site1\Common\ or you could export your existing tables to see the layout structure (File | Export).

Also check help and search for "Valid Fields in Hierarchical Files"

          I hope this helps.
          Regards,
